Changes on the Outside

The roofers are done with their work!  New shingles, siding, gutters, skylights, soffit, and fascia!  Whew :)  Of course, we had our share of fun when it decided that for the one week we didn’t have shingles, it had to rain… scratch that, STORM badly, every single evening.  But we escaped with a few leaks, but thankfully no damage.

I haven’t had a chance to rehang my ferns yet, but here’s the progress the roofers made.  I think our house is looking much more like a normal house now!

And here is how our backyard is looking these days… we actually had the fallen tree removed last summer, I just never updated our pictures (shame on me).

So there you have it!  A big change, but one that was “easy” on us, since we didn’t do the work!

Wow Erin! That’s quite lovely! I can imagine removing that stump was a bit of fun!

Was that little window in the bathroom? just wondered where it disappeared too?!?!? =)

Haha I didn’t think to mention that – we had it covered over b/c that’s where the shower is going to go in the future… so we thought it’d be easier to cover over it now rather than later! Lol :)

We had the stump removed for us, thank goodness, b/c it would have been ridiculous to do – I felt bad for the guy doing it even! It was all rotted, too :(

oh SNAP! that is wow!!!! love the black roof…it’s like mascara for your eyes, it just enhances the home’s beautiful brick. Guess what I would love to have of yours? that little red shed! oh yes…what I could do with that!

Hehe thanks!!! And it was easy to check off, too, since we did next to nothing ourselves besides pay for it :)

FaB home improvements! You are really doing it up wonderfully. I like it when people care about their houses and keep them in good repair.

Love the changes. I tried to look at your full house tour, but the link is coming up blank. Any tips on how to see your house tour before and after shots?
    Thanks!
